Skip Shift Eleminator is for manual trans cars with LS3 engines, they don't have DOD/AFM (displacement on demand, active fuel management). DOD/AFM, aka 4 cylinder eco crap, is only on auto trans cars with L99 engine. It didn't bother me much when my car was stock, but as I upgrade to exhaust systems and headers it became very noticeable and sounded like the car was farting as it switched back and forth between 4 & 8 cylinders. There are a several of ways to deactivate DOD/AFM and I've been through them all at some point as I've modded my car.
- Range AFM Device - plugs into the OBD2 port and deactivates AFM. It's an easy quick fix and once removed you're back to stock settings. New they run around $170ish, but you can find used ones for sale on the forum for around $100. - Get a tune - Any decent tuners can turn off AFM/DOD along with many other tweaks to improve performance and drive feel. - Remove AFM/DOD parts - This is major surgery, removing cylinder heads to change out lifters and valley cover. Typically done when changing cams as the DOD lifters don't play well with high lift cam profiles and springs. There's a lot of info on the forum for each of these. Best of luck eleminating the 4 cylinder farts.

spent $14 on a muzzies shift switch eliminator. works like a charm. took longer to jack up the car than to put it in. it didn't happen often but when it did it was annoying.

Kinda aggravated right now... i was doing some touch up detailing on my car today and was looking at the rear bowtie and debating what it would look like if i removed it. Then all the sudden my focus was draw to the rally stripes...The stripes are WAY OFF CENTER! Now its all my attention goes to when i look at the car. I guess "Eyeball Eddie" put them on. Anyway do you guys think my car was possibly wrecked or were the stripes possibly just put on this crooked from factory?
