Blend air door replacement video
Hi guys, I had to replace the blend air door on my son's 2013 Camaro. If you don't know to do this right you have to remove the dash which also requires the windshield to be removed unless you cut the bolts. The dealer charges roughly $3500.00 to replace the $20.00 door.
A cheap workaround for this is to cut a hole in the side of the HVAC box to gain access to the door and allow you to easily remove it. I made a video of this job in case any of you guys ever need to do this job. It also shows the relearn of the actuator which should always be done when replacing the door or actuator. 5th Gen Camaro Blend Air Door Replacement Without Removing Dash

The question I have is, when you installed the new blend door, what position was the temperature dial in relationship to the door, on install? The door itself was obviously down, but is that the hot or cold position on the actual dial? Thanks!
