Although I would have to take out a loan for the gas, Fontana would be awesome. Is it even feasible time wise for 500+ cars (low estimate) to run on a real deal road course? If a road course is chosen would enough people still show up and participate in the other activities? I would think there are not too many road courses with a drag strip nearby. I think I could commit to anything on the east coast.

Just a reminder for the west coast guys. The last east coast CamaroFest was in 2010. I think we're due.

here are some of the tracks that came up for Fest VI... The truth is we have not made a decision... No kidding...

Short list, in no particular order, and by no means is this the final list. It is just the tracks that were most commonly mentioned when asked.

Firebird (or whatever they call it now) Phoenix, AZ
Bowling Green, KY - assuming the drag strip is ready.
Englishtown, NJ
ZMax, Charlotte, NC
Auto Club speedway Fontana, CA
SGMP Valdosta, GA

Also, something else to keep in mind. If we get a track with a road course.... That will have to be extra as we'll have to partner with a the local HPDE group like Chin or Hooked on Driving and they will determine the price... FWIW

Discuss...
What about Bandimere Raceway in Denver?

So, here is what we are will to do to help you! We can just have it in Houston again so we can perfect it and give you more time to set up the next fest. We will call this next fest 5.5 so 6 can be somewhere else!

We had the small road course at Firebird for C5F II. It was a huge hit. But because it takes a few hours to get everyone through, it did take away from the overall attendance a little. It is usually close to $200 for a one day HPDE. so few attendees wanted to pay for both. Not that we are against it, but it does change the dynamic a bit.

LOL, you are such a nice guy.... I'm not sure Camaro5 will tolerate a back to back again... that didn't work out so well.... Even though logistically we didn't have much choice.... we were all just so busy that year that we were really in a bind... at one point we actually thought about skipping a year to help us get back on track....

But I truly appreciate the offer....

This is just Chris talking... but I'd like either one of those... I promised SGMP that we'd come back.... I've yet to keep that commitment... Someday I hope.

But it's not up to me. And remember we have to coordinate with GM as well.

Google Says : The Geographical Center of the United States (contiguous 48) is located about two miles northwest of Lebanon, Kansas. Take US Highway 281 north 1 mile, and turn west one mile on K-191 to the maker that has been erected at the end of the paved road.

Lets go there... Or whatever is closest...
