Here is a update on Robert from Debbie:

We all know that Robert believes you should go big or go home. Following that motto, he has gathered quite a team of specialists: nephrologist, pulmonologist, cardiologist, neurologist, hematologist, gastrologist, three surgeons, dialysis specialists, respiratory therapists, RNs and technicians. Everyone we encounter is knowledgeable, professional and compassionate. Robert remains in critical condition; we believe he is getting the best care possible. Your continued prayers are appreciated.

Debbie updated yesterday: AWESOME NEWS!!!

We serve a mighty God. And he has listened to all of our prayers.... Robert woke up today! The doctors are still working to get his heart rate and blood pressure leveled out, etc and now that he is awake he is very uncomfortable. Please send up prayers of thankfulness, as well as continued healing for Robert. We thank you for your prayers and well wishes.

I would like to let you know that today, Bob came out of the sedation, and is able to communicate through head nods and shakes, hand gestures, and the like. He cannot speak due to the trache tube, but he is stable, alert, and seems to have turned the corner in his recovery. He has a long way to go still, and the medical team where he is hospitalized in Florida is looking at the possibility of returning him to Texas within the week. He will transfer to an Acute rehab facility for the rest of his recovery. They have some great facilities in our mmediate area that he may end up at; New Braunfels and Kyle, Texas are where they are looking. He lives in Kyle, so either of those will be great choices. When I hear anything new, i will inform you here, of his Wife Debbie will update the caring bridge. In the meantime, he can still use your thoughts and prayers. Thank, you, Tom

I am Robert's Brother Tom. The latest news from today is they are preparing to Air Flight him back to Texas. He has made steady, albeit slow, progress the last few days. He was being weaned off the ventilator (he has a trache tube), but they will increase the ventilator to help him through the flight.

He will brought to Warm Springs Post Acute Care Specialty Hospital in New Braunfels, Texas. This is at 1445 Hanz Dr. I have not heard from Debbie on a time frame, but it is imminent.

For all that have asked through various media, What Bob really needs is thoughts and prayers. His Company has done a magnificent job of taking care of his needs and also Debbie's. She has been with him since the day after he had the attack; First the days in Trinidad, and now in Florida. Debbie has had her Sister with her the entire time.
Thanks to all for your word about bob, and we will keep you posted on his recovery.
Tom
