3rd annual BBOMG - TRAVEL ROUTE #5 - Montreal-Ottawa-Kingston-Oshawa
The time has come to start preparations for the Route down Thursday 9 June 2011. As you know most of us will be arriving Thursday night at the Host Hotel.
UPDATE The time has come to start preparations for the Route down Thursday 9 June 2011. As you know most of us will be arriving Thursday night at the Host Hotel. What I need to know is for you to CONFIRM your presence at the following CHECK POINTS. Some of you have already taken this trip and we'll be stopping at the same check points. Supper will be in Kingston... Departure: 1:30PM Point *A* - Tim Horton = Montreal Gang 1st Stop: 3:15PM - 3:30PM Point *B* - Hwy 401 / 416 = Ottawa Gang 2nd Stop: 4:30PM Point *C* - Boston Pizza = Kingston Gang = Supper Departure: 6PM 3rd Stop: 8PM Point *D* - Quality Inn - Host Hotel - Check In - Then : Join up with the Early Bird BBOMG Social Gang I would like to see EVERYONE to Confirm if you will be joining the Group down to Oshawa Please...So not to miss anyone......... You MUST be registered in order to take the Plant tour! www.ontariocamaroclub.com ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Keep in mind that this is 2 different events as said many times before. We (BBOMG) will be attending the Tour on Friday put on by the OCC and most likely spend most of the day there looking at all the old/new Camaros..... Afterward we will be heading back to our own BBOMG events that are planned out for us for the weekend. RickRay, what are the events that make up BBOMG?
Also, the Google maps route you provided in your first post in this thread, is that the route that everyone from Montreal is taking? In a convoy? If so, point "A" is meters from my place.

Ajust time in a group run
Hi Rick. Good idea to plan now.
With experience in riding in a group, you might need to consider that when more than 20 cars are riding in a group, the lead car will drive, let say at 100Km, but the last car, to stay within the group might need to run at 110-120 Km just to keep up. So the more cars the more the lead car has to slow down. Also, you might recommand to get some FRS walky-talkies just to keep in touch with the leader and the CLOSER. Most of the riders should have a FRS just to keep informed. The closer will be the key man in communications. I had some rides with 30, 50 and 100 cars and be assured that the leader has to slow down. the other solution would be to make partial groups of 10 cars, and join when in Oshawa. I reinstalled the G5CR back, and went to my garage. He scanned the computor and erased the CEL. Did'nt come back. As per him, since I have a Catch Can connected to the CAI and that the K&N entry is very very close to the MAF it might affect the reading. I testted a mok up for a heath shield but no more air would come in from the grill, just like the K&N box also. (I copied the box) I have an other idea that should cut the heath from the engine and let the air coming in from the grill. Would be very easy to make. Will make another mok up if no rain tonite.
