Up for sale is a MGW shift knob I bought for my Camaro which I sold before I got to install. Super easy installation. Pull off old knob, cut zip tie, install new zip tie around boot to new handle. Slide knob on and tighten set screw. $60 includes shipping to continental USA.

does the silver piece stick out at all past the boot?

It is pretty well hidden when you attach the leather boot with a zip tie from the underside. That is the same way the factory did it.
