lost power ?
I have a 2011 Synergy Green 1LT and
I installed a K&N cold air intake and an MRT V2 axle back exhaust but since doing so I can't seem To "catch a wheel" even with the traction control turned off. I'm averaging 26 to 30 mpg highway & 22-24 city so that I'm not complaining About that but once in a while I'd like to burn a little rubber and cant seem To do do since making those changes. Is there something I could have Done wrong or not done with installing that mix of things that could have reduced My power. Please no " should have bought a V8" comments Thx |

You can't even burn rubber when you use the brake?

When I 1st bought the car I could sit at a stop light or stop sign and stomp
On the pedal at take off and it would burn a little rubber but now It doesnt even do it when stopped then turning left or right. It would always do that before. |

I have a 2010 synergy. Mind you mine is manual, i have a few power mods, I have to try NOT to break loose. My tires still have good tread left, but I have no issues roasting my tires off a launch and through 2nd gear hearing that satisfying chirp.
Perhaps something with automatic causing you issues. Does trifeca change shift points to make more agressive shifts? Might look into that route. Sent from my SGH-T889 using Tapatalk 2

Do yourself a favor and also look into ipf. Trifecta is a decent tune but their customer service has been atrocious of late. While ipf has great customer service

The LLT & LFX are direct injection engines and the intake valves build up "gunk" in a very short time reducing both power and economy. Do you have a good functioning catchcan installed? Also, if not using 93 octaine you are getting detonation and the ECU pulls timing, that results in power loss as well.
Ask in detail anything you need clarification on. |

I'm manual with no mods yet, and can rip them loose as well as chirp them into third gear. Sounds as though something is missing in your setup. On another note, You mentioned your gas mileage. I have about 2k miles on mine and get nowhere near 22 mpg. I am about 17 mpg right now. Can I expect it to keep climbing, or do the cai and exhaust affect the gas mileage that much?
Sorry for piggybacking your post, just caught my attention. |

If you just installed the new mods, the ECU has to go through a "learning" period. My car was the same way. It takes between 100 and 200 hundred miles for the car to adjust to the new mods. Give the car some time and it should be fine if everything was installed correctly.

K&N filters are great, but their intakes aren't as good as some others. They have 2 different V6 intakes, both with different hp numbers. Depending on your budget, I would suggest the Cold Air Inc. intake.
But hopefully it's just a relearning thing. Make sure you're using 91+ octane gas. It really makes a difference. |

Thanks for the words of wisdom.. I am going to look into a tune and going to go back to a higher
Octane gas. I am pretty sure its over its learning stage. I installed the COI and axle back just as Instructed so I know its not anything along those lines. I'll keep you all updated. Thanks again for the advice. |
