I wanna do mine in inferno orange. Any tips for when I buy mine as soon as RPI is back up and running?

Yes I do have tips.

Grind the tips of the supplied screws a little so they don't penetrate the other side. (I have a few that made dimples even with the supplied washers) I'd even say if you can buy some felt pads and make felt washers to go under the supplied washers.

The ABL panels are not the same as OEM abl panels as they don't have mounting tabs on the back. They supply you with 3m adhesives to adhere the light pipes to the panels. I'd suggest attaching the ABL before installing the panels into the door.

I tested my abl and did numerous adjusting but I have yet to see it in car (I need to get harnesses for the car)

The corners are pretty hard to align so I started with them.

Do this with patience.

Yeah, abl makes it harder. Almost would rather pay someone to do it. Got a fear I'm gonna screw up, even with a trim removal set.

How difficult was this to install? I've been looking at new shifter knobs as well. Don't care for the stock one much.

Not today but 20 hours after purchasing it last week I put a K&N intake on it and ordered the borla ATAK axle back to replace the upgraded GM axle back.

Very easy...15 minute mod. Just pry the cover up, remove 4 screws that hold the boot, clip off a zip tie, and pull off the old knob. Pulling the old knob off is the toughest part, but it's not bad. Speeddawg sends the adaptor for Gen5's so it's just the reverse to install. There is a plastic "sleeve" that slides over the stick and the knob screws into it so it stays in place. I didn't like the stock one either...this one feels awesome and looks badass.
