Catch can: So easy a 9 year old can do it!
So I decided to install an Apex Catch can. I figured it was a pretty straight forward install so I invited my 9 year old daughter Alexandra to help me.
Well we ended up needing to remove the throttle body just to get access to the PCV line. Also, I bought her some ABUs and had stripes and name tapes installed for a Halloween present last year. So she dressed up like her daddy (An F-16 crew chief) to do all her maintenance. Enjoy the pictures! In this one you can see the tell tale sign of a concentrating mechanic... her tongue poking through her lip! |

This is great! Glad to see you both spending some quality time together! She seems to be enjoying it, as do you!

This is fantastic! I love to see others getting their kids involved with cars!
I wonder what her car will be when she turns 16! |

Priceless. I have 2 girls myself 9 and 7 and they both love to get dirty and help with projects. I think they are most fascinated by getting their hands dirty and using pumice soap to wash them. They both seem to love the grit in the soap. Our last project together was a cam swap they hung in there for a good 4 hours or so, I was shocked it lasted that long. Enjoy those moments, as it will be etched in their memories longer than you think!!
