LSx Block in a ZL1?
Looking for some insight on anyone that may have put an LSx block into the ZL1. I recently had some issues with my setup and am considering going to an LSx block. I'm curious as to how much it might jack with the handling aspect of the car. I plan on doing some road course and open road racing in the future and don't want to screw up what I feel makes the car so special. I've had thoughts that the larger sway bars in conjunction with the magnetic ride would handle it just fine. But hoping someone out there that has done it would chime in with some results....
Thanks..

why do you want an LSX youll get better answers if we know what youre asking for but yes adding 90lbs to the front end of your car is not the wisest thing, so don't use an LSX block unless you HAVE TO.

Why add the weight of the lsx. Go ERL. I can save you some money on one right now. Pm me if interested. They are 8 weeks out right now though.

There was a thread sometime ago asking if owners of these ZL1's had changed their motors due to the LSA's blowing up or the bottom end failing and the best I remember no one had had any problems. Why did you put an LSX in your car? Please explain. To the OP why are you wanting to change also? |

So did you notice any handling differences in the car?
