4/26/16 $1500 GM Card Points Available for $975 ($525 off your purchase)

Hi Everyone,

I’ve built up another $1500 in GM Card Points that I’d like to offer for $975 since I won't be using them in the near future. (I’ve done this before, threads here: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=389869 and http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=425573 )

The bottom line is if you are ready to purchase a new car now you’ll get an extra $525 off of your purchase out of the deal. How does this work?

- Find a vehicle at a dealer of your choice or have one on order.
- Negotiate your price first (including all current offers and incentives).
- Last, tell them you are a GM card member and want to redeem $1500 in earnings.

You can search Camaro5 and Camaro6 for others who have done this (other than through me) if you are not familiar with the process. Here is another thread.

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=349086

Current Camaro redemption allowances for 2016 are $1500. If you are interested in other vehicles let me know.

PM for details. First come, first serve. This is not a scam, I’ve done it many times. Everybody wins.

I have $1500 more points if anyone is ready to buy soon (a week or 2 ideally). Note these are not able to be used with any other GM supplier or employee discounts. Please PM for details. Thanks!

Card

I looked up this credit card out of curiosity. Is this card really any better than other cash back rewards cards? Seems like if you had just used a card that gave you cash back, you could have just used the rewards on anything and not limit yourself to only a new GM lease or buy? I didn't read a whole lot on the card, just wondering your thoughts from those of you who may use it.

This is a legit deal. My family does it all the time. We add each other as an authorized user to each other's GM cards and when we need a car, we just use whichever of our cards has the right amount of earnings available. I got $1,500 off my Camaro from my brother's GM card because he used $3k of my earnings on a new Yukon for his wife recently.

Not picking up a Camaro, but I may be getting my wife into a new Equinox within the next week. Is this still available?

Edit: Just saw they couldn't be used with GM Supplier discount. So... Dang.

This may seem like a stupid question but why would I pay more than what I am getting off the vehicle? Example, if I am getting 525.00 off the price, why pay 975? I would think the price you would charge might be around 450 or so? Honest question. Are you factoring in the finance charges on the vehicle over 5 or more years that the buyer is saving on the additional discount?

You are paying him $800, to get $1248 off your car...so you save $448.

If I had a car coming in soon, I would grab it...but GM STILL hasn't said in writing when I can order
my car.

Only issue I can see is if you sign up for a GM card at your dealer, and get approved you save $500 as well, and I doubt they can be combined.
