Mine are CRAZY misaligned from dealer install :-( I assume there is 3M tape in addition to the nut holding the side pieces on? Don't want to get into tearing it apart and have any surprises.

My drivers side is so bad, it 1/4 inch off and scrapes the deck lid portion when I shut it :-(

Correct, there is 3M tape around the sides also.

What a pain in the ass! Just did this install last night. The center portion went on just fine but the corner pieces were, just like most people, totally mis-aligned. I had to drill each hole out 2 extra times and it is a PITA getting my hand up In that tight corner to tighten the nuts. It looks great though!

Can someone find me a thread that explains how to disconnect the 3rd brake light? It looks stupid connected. The brake light on the dovetail is super bright compared to the OEM one I definitely don't need 2

I just put the dovetail Spoiler on, but for the life in me I don't understand where to connect the brake light. Could someone tell me where that stupid connection is?

I know this is an old thread, but I had a heck of a time determining if this spoiler will cover the stock SS mini spoiler holes. GREAT finding out it does. This is absolutely the most Retro looking spoiler on the market (IMO). Reminiscent of the 67 to 69 spoilers. Just ordered one today. After I install it, I will add the stripes to wrap over it and down to the rear edge just above the tail lights, just like the old Z-28’s. WTHeck, if you’re not going for the retro look you might as well go with a 6th gen. or something

I had the dealership install my Dovetail Spoiler. Was $150.00 for the install...plus to me, if they screwed it up, it's on them.

Even the Dealership said the Temp-plate was off, but they did a outstanding job on the install.
Now to black out the 3rd Brake Light
