I'm digging the cupholder idea...but then you'll have that bright light shooting up through the middle of the car

Are we able to choose color? If so, how? All the ones I see are the plain bowtie with the "Chevrolet" under it with the ring around it?

Cup holder would require the newer short models, but could work. Or underhood near latch, but have to drill out the black rad piece. Ofer, or gen5diy.com sells some great ones without the circle and other colors.

Whenever you open the door, they come on and stay on as long the door is open.
Has anyone else done it this way and confirm they go on and off with opening the door and not when you unlock the door?

Just got mine last night but unsure what to wire to in the door. I've got a 2011 convertible. It doesn't have a door drl as far as I can tell. I haven't pulled my panel off yet. Any suggestions?

Pull the panel off. Yellow wire going to the window switch.

Thank you Stig'er

Even non ABL car's should have wiring to tap into if you want to go that route. Be careful never cutting any body wiring, BCM doesn't like that

Why would you cut it? Just splice into the existing wiring.
