Decided to replace the isolator and found this..
...The noise was getting progressively worse so I bought a solid LPE isolator and decided to replace it myself. The original isolator with only 8,000 miles and it was already cracked. I didn't expect to see this.
On a different note, I was pleasantly surprised to see how clean the inside of the supercharger was with no oil. And for those thinking about drilling the cowl to access the back to supercharger lid bolts... DON'T do it. They are not that hard to get to with the right tools. I bought this magnetic 1/4" impact universal joint with a 10mm socket attached along with a standard UJ and it took some patience but worked fine. |
