For those who don't drive your Camaro in the RAIN

Why not?? Did you not WAX it. Give it that HIGH POLISHED SHINE? If so, then you have a pretty good protective force shield on your car. Don't be afraid of the rain, even you Camaro loves to DANCE IN THE RAIN.

Have a nice day.

Hey Moorepheus......I wasn't able to wax the underside though. Having all the dirty nasty water sitting all over the unprotected undercarriage is my reasoning.....I leave my car outside in the rain, but don't drive it.

You started this thread kind of challenging those of us that choose not to drive in the rain, so why don't you let me know when rust shows up all over the underbody of yours.

No nothing like that, when it rains here in Norcal it's a sign for those who don't drive so good to go out and practice...practice hitting things that is...lol

Well considering most of the parts are galvanized steel and powder coated, it would be many many years before something like that happens.
Cars these days are pretty well build to resist the elements if you take care of it. (key word take care of it)

The one time I drove mine out in the rain, I put it up on lift and sprayed the whole underside down and then washed the rest of the car... So its all about how well you take care of things.

Rain? No rain, no water of any kind, no snow, no dirt or gravel roads, no unattended parking, no parking outside over night and no commuting to work. H*ll, after 3 months, I haven't even wash it yet...just dust it off it off with the Cal Duster or wipe it down with the Kozak Cloth and cover it after every ride. It's stored for the winter now.

Haven't heard of a car recently rusting out, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion! Those who don't use theirs as a DD, why not keep it in the garage for safe keeping, us others, well...we'll just have to deal with it

You aren't trolling for an argument are you?

Alfie
How do you possibly enjoy the car with that kind of paranoia?

Oh, believe me, I enjoy it just fine. In fact, I'm going to go out on a limb and say, I probably enjoy my Camaro more than you do yours.

Ain't about paranoia my friend...its about love. You are good to your wife (girlfriend), baby her and treat her well don't you? Not because you're paranoid, but because you love her and ENJOY her. Get the idea?
