The installations notes on my long tube headers said "FOR OFF ROAD USE ONLY"

I guess I can only drive my camaro on trails and going off roading now..... because the installation notes said it can not be used on a road.

lifter valley cover flange to top w/ efi 102 = 12.32"

I might go measure for shits and giggles when I get home from work.

Wth does that have to do with this? People were wondering if this would fit the stock hood.

Edelbrock makes a nice one that does fit under the hood for around $350 plus fuel rails etc.

It means take everything with a grain of salt. Just because the manufactor says one thing about a product, especially one that is not even released yet, doesn't mean it's gospel.

Less keyboard warrior

More first hand observations

For what it's worth.....

EI got their "black widow" package (which is a victor jr with a edelbrock low profile elbow) to fit under a stock hood

A victor Jr is 7.40''... the elbow is 5.04"

That's 12.44" tall

Holley intake is 12.32" tall

Keyboard warrior? Your the one who has your balls in a grinder... All I did was point out that it may not fit. No one is attacking you, I copied that info from their website.

Less acting like a dick

More reading comprehension

Just took a tape to the engine compartment. I can't see it happening without a couple of more inches in the front of the cowl hood (it starts to taper down towards where the TB is) and some surgery above the rear of the intake. It would have to be cut and I'm not sure if the passenger wiper arm is interfearing as well. The bracing on the rear of the hood would also have to be trimmed. Mind you this is with just taking a quick look in the dark with a flash light and tape measure and not knowing if the actual intake tapers down towards the rear - which it looks like it does.

I don't think there's any way it's going to fit under the stock hood. I'd love to set one up for a direct port system and throw it on top of a stroker.

Who cares if it fits?

The runners are way too short for anything another than a dedicated drag car and the 4,100 Lbs. race weight of our cars means;

These cars are not THE dragster for this setup anyway.

These cars are very heavy and need the balls torque of long runners. Seventeen Inch Long Runners, minimum.

Just because it could fit doesn't mean you're supposed to stick in in there...

With enough cubic inches the torque will be there. I'm sure it'd be worth big power with forced induction. People seem to be making plenty of power with the single plain and sheetmetal intakes--- alot more then the a stocker will allow!

Snoop, yes it's pricey. Made by John Beck to fit our 115mm TB and fit under stock hoods. Here is the standard height:

Wow. Where can I get one of those?

Apparently, now available on the market. I'd love to see if anyone has tried one of these on their Camaro and saw any gains or if Summit Racing has done any testing with this on a centri SC install.
