If this is true, that puts a bit of a disturbance in the force (although not that big lol)
Look at this link. Post 3 will tell you about the blue tooth upgrade required for streaming. The rest of the post will tell you how to get the most out of your stereo without cutting, drilling, or altering the car in any way. No wires are cut.

If you do everything in these posts, and you are an audiophile like me, you will be pretty satisfied with the sound and you will not have altered the car in any way. It will be very easy to bring back to stock anytime you want.

BTW,
If you like the Z, you’re probably old school. And apparently (as my kids tell me) CDs are old school. If the Z has AC/radio, it also has a CD player. Buy a Crap ton of CDs... you’ll not need the streaming..

Just like my Chevelle SS:

I also have an old school spare tire in my Z/28. Here is the link:

and gold plugs magnetic drain plugs. Here is the link:

When it comes to my cars, yea, more old school (albeit I'm climbing up on 40 quickly, so I suppose, old school regardless). I've got a ton of CDs, but I got the thing teched up already lol. I found a plug in dual lighter and dual USB thing-a-ma-jigger at Walmart for 8 bucks, works beautifully in the front lighter/power adapter, I use that one for my phone and radar, with a couple of USB slots to spare for a passenger. The in the console, an always plugged in Bluetooth receiver configured on my phone only for streaming audio. Only downside left is controlling the music from my phone, so I just hit it and go, just like my last 5th gen All I need to figure out now is a good 3rd party HUD to use, a new phone cradle, a rear view/backup camera method (easily found for that), and if I can find it, a good performance data recorder After that, I have everything a 6th gen 1LE has
