Np man. The best part about this forum is being able to help out other people. I am hopefully having everything done later this week. If so, I will post an update.

Im having muffler delete and x pipe done as I type this out. Should be done in a couple hours. I can't wait! I just woke up this morning and decided not to drive another mile with the stock exhaust setup.

Does it matter what brand x-pipe?
#11386 is a 2.5" resonated X-pipe from Magnaflow. You can use the non-resonated X-pipe if you want it a little louder and/or want to hear the decel popping more. The non-resonated X-pipe by Magnaflow is called Tru-X.

Call JDP Motorsports and talk to them. They'll set you straight on what you need.

You'll be much happier when you pick it up.

I couldn't take the stock exhaust. I heard it way before I bought my car. I knew what I was going to do so I drove straight from the dealership to the muffler shop. I think my car had 35 miles on it when the trash cans came off.

Hi guys, an update. I don't have any pics or video, but... I just had the exact some process as caverman's camaro done to my own. It sounds GREAT. I recommend it full heartedly. Anyone who has any hesitations about this process, don't. I will try to post video of what it sound like, but I don't have a great camcorder.

I'm glad it worked out for you. I too am a college student and was thinking about getting the SLP loudmouth cat back system. I had several people convince me otherwise because a) a muffler delete/x pipe is basically the same thing and b) cost less ($400 + install vs $190). So Friday I went out and got the muffler delete and xpipe installed and OMG what an AMAZING difference! I cannot BELIEVE I drove around with the stock exhaust for a year. Now my lovely SS has a bark to match its bite. No regrets.

Yeah, I couldn't be happier with my setup. It's even better than I thought it would be. I paid a little bit more than I wanted to for install, but the shop I went to is reputable and did a really good job.

DO you mind if I ask what you paid? YOu can private message me if you want.
The place I went to quoted me $385 and that seemed way too high. PLus they said 3.5 hr job, which also sounded wrong. it seems like everyone on the forum says that its 1.5 maybe 2 hr job.
Any thoughts?

For me I went to a shop that's been in operation since I was a kid (~15 years) and they charged me $305 for about 4hours work on a busy day using their own stocked x pipe.

Watch in HD, sound comes out pretty clear

This setup went on well under $200. Best bang for buck, period.

You got ripped. My guy at West Coast Exhaust did it in just under 2 hours, used a Magnaflow X-pipe and he bent his own piping. Cost: $185
