GM I have a tracking idea

Since all or most of the GM cars come with OnStar, this is what should happen:
1- With a special App once your order is placed GM can update your I-phone or Blackberry with the build status, for example Allanski Jan. 24, 2011 is your TPW your Camaro Convertible is due for production this week.
2 - then you should recieve daily updates:
01/24/11 - 3000 - TPW 2/21
02/12/11 - 3400
02/22/11 - 3800
03/03/11 - 4200
3 - then once shipped you should receive a map locating your vehicle each day (sorry no graphic for the map) ie Oshawa, then Michigan, etc.
4 - daily update til point of delivery
5 - you should then be able to see via Onstar on your phone the location of your car when ever you use the "Find my GM car App" so you can then see where your wife has your new vert parked, grocery store or jewelry store??

This concept would make our lives less stressful and less work for poor Becky!

Have you signed up on the Camaro Tracking website? They will send you e-mail updates. Becky is the best though!

The biggest problem here is that it isn't YOUR car until you sign the loan paperwork at the time of delivery, which presents a privacy problem should you back out of the deal for any reason.

Just my $0.02.

In Canada we cant track anything, but the dealer could get the updates and pass it on to the buyer. Technology is here - use it
