Haven't lost to a stick shift Camaro yet. Lost to another Camaro but it was a supercharged auto.
My cousin has been running for almost two year now consistent 10.3 with his stock auto. SupercharedSS has also been running 10.1 for a long time in the stock auto. I ran a couple of tens in the auto but then the clutches started burning. Probably because of the higher stall. Had it rebuilt with stock clutches and installed a trans cooler. Now that the turbos are going in a Circle D built 6L80(auto) will be going in. I will take any stick on in a beast of 10, lol. Auto all the way baby!

Gees, the l99 doesn't have an annoying drone. When it's running in the 4 cylinder mode, you know it, but even a slight throttle movement takes it right to the 8 mode. I have had mine tuned out, but it wasn't annoying at all bone stock. Incidentally, I've run at least a dozen LS3s in my various stages of tune and have never been beaten by even one with Pirrellis on it. Sure, there have been some all out drag cars that stomped me, but very few otherwise. Some I've beaten ran faster ETs, but I kill them out of the hole. The manual is very inconsistent to launch without excessive wheelspin or bog! Two years at Holley LS Fest and I was in the money both times.
