Although I would like more downforce I can't bring myself to cut up the car like that. A splitter and larger rear spoiler may be in my future but I think I will only remove the weatherstrip regularly. Very large cooling systems have taken care of the heat escape issue.

Not really but I only had 1 track day at Gingerman after installing the vents. I'll be at Watkins Glen next month so maybe I can tell then.

If I may,

I run the Hex vents on my racing hood. I didn't want to cut up the factory hood, so I bought a hood off another guys car that went aftermarket...

As someone mentioned, I also remove the weather stripping at the base of the hood near the windshield.

We did a ZL1 like cover from the front fascia to the bell housing in addition to all of this. The Hex vents help with a lot of heat and air removal from the engine compartment... I've been 217 mph in the car so far and no front end lift....

Its quite stable.... I also tape off a good portion of the front end to limit air flow into the engine bay when running at speed...
