Here are pictures of mine. One of the first Hurst aftermarket shifters installed in December of 2009.



No "Hurst" on ball.

Yes, that is pretty much correct. The Hurst factory shifter is a 22% reduction in throw over stock and the Hurst Billet Plus shifter reduces throw by 44%.

As long as you have ramps or a floor jack and jackstands you can do it yourself. It took me 2 hours from start to finish. It is a very simple install, it is just time consuming because of the very tight work space (you are working in the tiny space in between the transmission and the floorboards). I have done 100% of the labor on my car and I am miles away from a mechanic. Hurst has an install video on Youtube for the shifter. Just follow the instructions.

If you pay for labor, it'll probably cost you more to install it than the cost of the entire shifter.
