Almost done

Done

I removed the cards, and letting them sit over night. I will have photos of them next to my GTR tomorrow and more photos of how they turned out. From inside the garage I am really impressed. I won't have photos of them on the car until next week for my track weekend. And that is the real test of if they can hold up and how easy they are to clean afterwords!

It looks better, is gloss out of the can, it is a vinyl spray instead of a rubber, it is solely designed for automotive purposes, comes in a multitude of colors from matte, metallic or gloss.

Only comparison to plasti dip is it is in a spray can and is peel-able.

Thanks. Yeah should last longer, also looks a lot cleaner. I will see how they hold up to a track weekend next week. And then how cleanable they are and what they look like after. I'll post up photos and my opinion of them here too.

If this stands up better than plasti dip I'll probably use this when I re-do my wheels after I get new tires. Maybe I'll try it on the winter wheels before hand.

Edit: just saw the price. At 22 a can I think I'll stick with plasti dip.

I'll post some photos when I get off work, currently on my phone in the field.

Still haven't cleaned the car so they collected a lot of track dirt and brake dust.

Only one wheel had an issue. I use the curbs when I track my cars, and I dropped my left front wheel on the end of a curb (think Top Gear test track bump) and it started peeling a spoke. The rest of the wheel stayed fine. I don't think it was heat, or speed, as the other 3 wheels are all good still.

I'll clean them next week as I didn't take them back to my house and then I'll know how they survived the track weekend. That's the real test is if they look as good as they did before I tracked them afterwards.

For daily purposes they looked great, but I put them through a beating. Everyone really liked them and thought they were new wheels, since you cannot tell they are spray canned. Unlike plasti dip in my opinion.

Again I'll post some photos up after I get out of the field and look through my SD cards from the weekend.

Definitely interested in this stuff as well, as the dip on my wheels has been peeling on the edges. I think the glossifier from plastidip is to blame for that, seems to thin out plastidip. Not to mention i'd love glossier rims
