Engineering the Evil ZL1

I wanted to start a build thread for my ZL1. Ive owned the car since May 2012 and recently within the last year or so I began to modify it and put my own personal touch on the beast. Around a year or year and half ago I began using what is known as plastidip on the emblems (camaro on the fenders, ZL1's, and bowties). Before plastidip, I tried vinyl on the bowties but wasn't satisfied with the outcome and texture for long. I decided then that I wanted to give the Z a stealth look to it. Meaning getting rid of all the chrome and giving the vehicle a menacing look. Using plastidip, I did just that. Over the year as most know, plastidip begins to wear and tear revealing some of the chrome emblems underneath. I plan to replace them with flat black.matted emblems with the ZL1 emblem having a red "1". Anyway I'll update this from time to time to keep everyone up to do, but until then I will end this with my Planned build list.

Cosmetic Mods already added up to this date: 4-9-15
Plastidip Emblems
Plastidip taillight bezels
Red interior Dome light
PS26WX DRL 4300K

Performance Mods added up to this date: 4-9-15
Roto Fab CAI
1 7/8" ARH no cats, 3" connection pipes
Corsa 3" cat back system with 4" black powder coated tips

Flat black/matted emblems with ZL1 emblems having a red "1"
Powder coat matte black wheels
Powder coat Brembo calipers (red maybe, haven't decided on color yet)

H11 Fogs 5000k

2 Aeroforce Inceptor Gauges with ZL1 faceplate and black bezels

A6 to M6 conversion
BTR Stage III, custom GPI Grind cam, or mlee's blower cam

Our forum mod (mlee) is making his own blower cam? I knew he liked adding these types of components to make his ZL1 faster, but I didn't know he was into making them. Mike, you holding out on us?

Lol no, I didn't know who did his blower cam so I just wanted people to have an idea of what I was talking about

Where have you been??? This is the second in my line of cams. I just research the hell out of them before they go in my car and put my name on it. The original mlee cam was in the Pace Car and that's what everyone still calls it. LOL

This one is actually Florida Speed and Power and a few other folks have it too like Modern07.

Put new tires on around 2 months ago and was told by my dealer that I had 2 nails in the tire and one was near the side wall and was irreparable. SO of course, I was in need of a new of a new tire. After a week of driving around on the tire, I went to the dealer to buy the replacement but would have to waiting another week because of shipping. So I told myself I would order it today and have it monday. But god showed up today and showed out, my fellow club member and good friend pulled the nail from my tire and plugged it for me. There was no second nail in my sidewall and I was good to go. Also adjusted my x pipe on my exhaust because it was hitting my brace when I would go over bumps and such. It was just moving too much for me. Saved me 300 bucks on a new tire. Now tonight, Im cleaning the cold air intake filter, I haven't cleaned it since Ive ordered it last year. Its well overdue. May clean the engine bay and wash up the car tomorrow, may be purchasing a pressure washer to speed up the cleaning process.

Probably will order some detail supplies today and spif the car up in the coming weeks. May over catch can, emblems, or something else on the mod list.

I'm from Memphis to be exact. We are rare in these parts. Most owners that own a camaro in TN tend to not use this site.
