Fun facts: Carbon Fiber versus Matte Finish....
OK -- after several million requests....
(...OK....I made that number up...) ........for the number of ZL1s built in the 2012 Model Year with the "clear" carbon fiber hood and the "Matte" finish hood -- I was able to finally get the numbers for you, our ZL1 Enthusiasts.... B92 Clear Carbon Fiber insert 1,548 Memo: plus "DSW" Stripe (241) Matte Black Carbon Fiber insert 423 Memo: plus "DSX" Stripe (96) Total 2012 ZL1 Production: 1,971 . . . . Now - I KNOW what your next question is going to be: "...OK, Fbod....so how many -oh -- say -- Victory Red ZL1s were produced??" soooooo..........I asked one of our analysts and he told me: ! ? ............I didn't like the 'tude he gave me........... ...so I asked our good friend Carl Fuderer... (who happens to be a fellow Camaro/Firebird Enthusiast extraordinare) (...and who happens to have the awful job of putting up with me every day at the office ...) ....to run the numbers and print out the report ........... ...all THREE HUNDRED AND SIXTY NINE PAGES OF THEM.... As you can see - this may take some time................... Patience, please.......

First off, my sympathys to Carl for having to put up with you (at least on those rare occasions that you're actually in your office), and secondally, just PDF the entire 369 pages and post them here. !

Why didnt they just build 1969 instead of 1971 given the ZL1 was only produced in 1969 with 69 of them avaliable??? That would have been sweet!

,,,,numbers....arghhhh!!! LOL....I have the black matte painted CFI with the stripe package...so I am one of 96? And 423 had just the black matte painted CFI without the stripes? Go easy on me now....sometimes the obvious just goes by me like thin air..... And, I have victory red, it would be cool to find the breakdown by color/insert/stripe as well at some point.

No, I believe that since 423 (matte) and 1,548 (exposed) add up to the total of 1,971 inserts that means that there were a total of 423 matte inserts with 96 of those having the stripe and the other 327 did not have the stripe.

Scott: Great Info - Will Be Interesting To See Color Breakdown - I Know That "Baby's" Going To Be A Low Color Number - I Still Get That "Rush Feeling" Everytime I Slid Into Those Seats

Thanks for taking time to post :-)
Mine has the flat black hood, I originally ordered the B92, but to get in on first run, I had to drop that option. Glad I did now :-) Thanks again!!

This is actually easy to find, take your sheet and run queries against it and then see how many records you have for whatever your searching for.
