this might b a stupid question but....
for those of u with rims (20'S AND UP)..... WILL OTHER RIMS SUCH AS 22S OR 24S EFFECT THE TIRE PRESSURE SENSORS LOCATED IN THE D.I.C.? CURIOUS TO KNOW B4 I PURCHASE SOME NEW RIMS
update----------people telling me the tire pressure monitor are in the tires.. can they be removed and placed in new rims??

The sensors themselves are located in the rims, I believe it's just a matter of retraining the DIC.

Actually have enough rubber and decent tire availability to get traction with mods. |

In your owner's manual there's a procedure to follow that allows the DIC to learn where each senser is and then read the pressure.

The after market sensors and some originals are having trouble pairing using the deflation method.
And if you're planning on buying wheels and sensors, do yourself a favor and buy from a local retailer. If not, and you have problems, you're screwed. |

I'm think the OP is actually asking that if the stock tire pressure is supposed to be 35 and after market is 40, will the TPMS know that 40 is "normal".
I wondered this myself after going from stock 18's to 20's. |

All the sensor does is send the car the tire pressure. The car does the rest.
