Cleaning Front Seats

Hey There Everyone

I purchased my 13 ZL1 a few months ago and am finally getting to the little things. Ok, my driver side front seat has a stain on it. It does not have that suede option but at the same time I don't want ruin the seats.

Do I need to have it steam cleaned? What are you all using to clean yours?

Thanks,
Ed

Can you tell what made the stain???If it didn't bleed thru I would just try a warm soapy water solution and scrub it to see if the stain starts to lift, if that doesn't work you can go to Auto Zone or any parts store and get a can of upholstery cleaner...GL...

Unfortunately I have not been able to figure it out. There is no odor. It has a little bit of a shine to it. It would have been right between the the driver's legs so I was thinking it may have been a spilled drink.

I have never had to "clean" my seats, I just maintain their shine with some Meguiar's showtime leather. Not an expert on stains and stuff so can't help.

Ok, thanks guys. I just wanted to make sure as out of all the cars I have owned none of them have had this type of fabric. It has been quite a journey...just pluggin away at all the little things that really don't cost anything to fix.

I'm sure a can of upholstery cleaner will do the job...Spray it on, work it in and vacuum once it's dry...

I use all Meguiar products...Had my car over a year and just got dull enough to condition the interior this week, I even smoke in the car...

Chemical Guys make good leather cleaning and protecting products. I use them on my entire interior of my Z. Check out their website....

Lexol is incredible stuff. It is what you will find on the parts shelf at the Mercedes and Porsche dealerships. 100% natural, not synthetic, been around for decades. Dries clear, does not build up. It's used on very expensive purses and saddles.
