SERVICE STABIL TRAK

Service stabil trak on my 2014 ZL1. The car is bone stock. No mods. I got this message last week. I reset it last week as per the owners manual. It came back this morning. Does any one know what the problem could be?

Thanks again for all your help.

Dimitri

Well, I'm going to go out on a limb here and render a guess. It "may" have something to do with your "Stabil Trak" on your car. If you reset it and it keeps coming back, something "may" not be functioning properly with that part of your car. It does happen. I would take the computer at its word and have a technician look at it. Once they plug into the car's computer, then they can determine how much money to remove from your wallet. Have a nice holiday.

There are a ton of reasons that message comes up. From what I've read around this forumn these are the most common ones I've seen....

1. Loose spark-plug wire.
2. MAF/Intake problem.
3. Followed by bad battery.
4. And Finally uneven tire pressure.

Kinda of crazy how generic that message is.

Is it M6? I got the same message when and after doing hard shifts. The ABS harness was disconnected due to the hard shifts. Wiring did not have enough slack.

There are a myriad of reasons that light can come on. Unless you get a DTC or take it to a shop, you're going to have to hear a lot of guesswork.

agreed, it might as well say "something bad". One of the most general messages to see on the DIC.

Pardon my off- topicishness here, but, dang, Hyper, that's a great pic! Do you mind if I ask where that was taken?

Thanks SD,

Avatar pic is from Big Bear Ca just a few weeks ago.
Sig Pic is from Fern Canyon, North of Eureka Ca. Did the whole west coast a few months ago. It was awesome.

call your dealer, best advice you're going to get since you're under warranty.

Very nice! I have been to Fern Canyon (I used to live near Eureka), and Big Bear is a familiar stomping ground for me now, as I live in the mountains near BB...

Hi Dimitri,

I’ve reviewed your thread and it looks like you’re receiving some great advice from other community members for your Service Stabilitrak message. As mentioned above, we’re glad to help organize a diagnosis appointment at your local dealership to determine the appropriate repair plan for your Camaro.

If this interests you, please feel free to send us a PM!
