JRE Super Tensioner install strucs......

I searched and couldn't find an install how to so I am just doing this one real quick so it's out there. If there is one post it here so if people find this thread they can find the other as well.

Anyway........

When I first looked at it it looked kind of like it might not be very solid.

After installing it there was no doubt this thing is stout. WAY much more so than the stock tensioner. No more belt slippage here.

(In the video I say 'Adjust the tensioner' but what I mean is 'RELEASE the tensioner'.)

quick question Randy...

what was the difference in size between the ID of the bracket spacers and the OD of the bolts that hold it to the head?

There was maybe a mm of space. Not much.

How do I find the next size belt up from the one I have on it. I have a Gates:

would you be willing to unbolt one of the bolts, back it out some and then take a picture of the bolt to bracket hole sizes?

the engineer in me has some thoughts on the design.

I'll see what I can find for your belt. do you need a longer one or a wider one? I imagine longer.

I'll check it out when I'm done with the coil-overs and alignment kit.

I went and got a longer belt. Works great.

What you have to avoid is the tensioner maxing out and going against the stop under load very hard to check unless your on the dyno.

Gopro with a light under the hood. Just make sure everything is fastened down securely.

I still have room to move the stationary pulley over about 3/4 inch. And I can get a smaller belt. The one I got was the K060950. Once it stretches I'll need to move the stationary or get a new belt. Sure wish you guys were closer. lol
