Really easy... one screw to release the mirror, and it slides right off... The harness is all plug and play... The hardest part (and its not even hard) is running the wires from your camera... depends how neat of a job you want to do. You can run the wires without removing anything inside the car and just stick them behind the trunk lining and under the interior panels if you want and you wont see them.. If youre anal like me and want to run them zip tied to other wires, you just have to remove the trunk lining on one side, and a few trim pieces in the interior to run them along the side of the car

Yep, any one on ebay would work. They're as cheap as $9

I believe this is the same camera I have on my camaro and g8, just with a different mounting point.. I have one that mounts behind the license plate and hooks over the top of it so all you see is the camera itself

how does the camera know when to come on? i.e. how does it know you are backing up? I ordered the kit from Gen5DIY, but I think I'm missing some harness parts.

the signal comes from the mirror harness... dont have to wire a + to the reverse lights or anything
