Very simple question to answer..
KB and TPE have not only a professional working relationship, but are also good friends as well. I personally view Jim Bell as one of the top 2 or 3 most intelligent forced induction specialists in the world. Since the original release of the Corvette system, TPE has proven to stay loyal through thick and thin to Kenne Bell. We worked tirelessly for over 2 years, donating hundreds, if not more than a thousand labor hours. Not to mention, the use of our own test car in order to test the limits of the kit. We have independently invested more than 150 thousand dollars of our own money, over the last few years, into the advancement of this system. When KB releases a new supercharger for the GM lineup, the first thing we do, is build a platform to take it to the absolute limits of the system, testing every possible break point. Essentially, we take the system that they have perfected, and we beat the snot out of it in an attempt to find a flaw. This type of testing helps the customer know what direction to go when building a full tilt car. Cause chances are, we already know what he's going to face. When you couple those commitments, with the fact that I spend no less than 35-40 hours per week on the GM boards answering technical questions, not to mention the 100's of thousands of minutes on my own personal cell phone, answering tech calls, its obvious to see why Jim Bell, altered the rules for our company. It is common knowledge on the GM LS based boads that if you have a technical question, you call us. As a matter of fact, on pretty much any other LS based board, if you just posted a question "who do I talk to about a KB blower for my Corvette (or whatever)", greater than 75% of the answers will be: "Call Jeff at TPE". It has been this way for years. Even the other GM tuners call us for tech/install questions. Jim Bell and Ken C have recognized this loyalty from our company, and have made special considerations for us. But these considerations weren't just because we sell the most systems. They are becasue since 2005, we made a commitment to Kenne Bell. That commitment was that as long as KB was building quality product for the GM community, my company would support them no matter what the situation. This dedication from my company, is the very reason that a Kenne Bell owner who may be working on his car, in his garage on a sunday, can call my personal cell phone when KB is closed, and I will spend as many hours as it takes to see his problem is solved. It is no secret that my personal cell number is in the hands of hundreds of KB owners hands. I cant even count how many use it on a weekly basis. If you called KB on monday, and asked a specific question that one of the tech guys couldnt answer, they wont lie to you, they will tell you to call me. It is the perfect business relationship. May I ask what the intention of your post was?? I mean, you can plainly see in this thread that both KB and I work together. You can also see where I openly posted things, and was not concerned with KB viewing them. If you go onto KB's website, you will also see my personal car in the GM section. What would bring you to the conclusion that we would be doing something devious?? It almost seems kinda fishy to me. But im sure KB will also see your post and comment as well. Hopefully this clarifys your question/concern. Quote:

Just trying to figure out what is truth and what is bs. It's hard to do with the advent of the interwebz. There is a lot of negative talk about you and your company floating around. I would like to see if it's all just internet bluster. Sadly, without a trip to see your shop and meet you in person it's hard to do.

You created the account to post the first 'concern'... That is interesting to say the least. Phoenix to Vegas should be a fun drive with lots of open road! Edit: I get it... GTO guys came over to post. Oh well ~ |

Well, your free to stop by any time.. You can also call KB.
There is negativity about every shop in the country. It comes with the business. Some companys choose to pay off the customers to shut them up, we choose not to. Then there are shops with such leg humping customers, that other customers are afraid to post up information out of fear for retaliation. Trust me, there are forums where if you even THINK of saying something wrong, you will be burned on a cross from their little groupies. Heck, 2 of the top tuner shops on this forum, have actually been sued, and lost, for stealing 100's of thousands of dollars from customers. We just had a pissed off customer, and openly requested to warranty it out. Dont believe everything you read though. Because like everything, there is ALWAYS 2 sides to a story. Again, provided your inentions are genuine, you can stop by any day of the week. We'd love to tell you the truth behind what you are refering to. Quote:

Meh. Whatever you tell yourself to sleep better at night I guess. I won't post anymore in this thread. If people want to do business with you that's their choice.

The main purpose for not releasing information until it has been publicly made on their website, explaining "What" all is inclded.
But apparently you wanted to be the first to let it out, so now, I will go back and clarify it since we'll now be getting 10 million questions as to what that price all includes. Here are the 2 official prices for the Kenne Bell Camaro kit. $6,999.00 for the Black Annodized kit $7,399.00 for the Full polished kit. These prices do not include shipping What does this consist of: 2.8 Complete kit This means it includes 100% of everything necessary, to install this system at your home or business. It includes the tune, injectors, instructions, and every nut, bolt, zip tie, washer you possibly need. The only thing left out of the kit, are the spark plugs. It even includes the belt. You can drive your car into your garage, and drive out with the blower installed, without having to go to the store (if you have the sparkplugs)
We do have an install special were running in the vendor F/S section. But were already booked to the 2nd week of March. |

ok.... I just got done reading the 7 pages of this thread...
including the deleted posts. this is my one warning. This thread is to discuss the new Kenne Bell superchargers for the new camaro, not past vendor experiences, not to sell the new KB s/c's, not to bash other members. it is here to discuss in a civil manner, the new KB s/cs and their capabilities/stats/etc. Infractions will be dealt if this continues. and that goes for everyone.

Time to clear the waters here since our name was brought up. Yes we tuned the car per instructions of Jeff Goose from TPE that notified us that it had 100 oct in it. Im sorry if my post its not related to the discussion about the KB blower for the Camaro but we dont like our name brought up with misinformation. Thanks! Gil Nevarez |

You know what, I'm tired of dealing with vendor issues, and people coming here from other boards just to bash.
I am closing this thread. Don't start another one unless you have pricing. |
