Camaro Duraflex Fascia

Thanks for the add-
Briefly, my name is Mike, and my 2011 Camaro 2SS Convertible is "Pyrate". It's dedicated to my original and first hot rod (the original Pirate).

I have been slowly doing some mods to it- and have come to doing some body repair work (from previous owner), and other stuff.... and while in the shop, I decided I should go ahead and repair or replace the front fascia. So- I originally wanted to do a ZL1 fascia (not re-badging, keeping the SS emblems)… But also saw a neat looking kit from Duraflex- the ZL1 Style Version 2 Fiberglass Front Bumper (manufacturer photo below).

Now- among other debates on this kind of transformation- I know Duraflex has a reputation, but I was willing to give it a shot IF I could find someone else who bought it for their 2010-13 Camaro- how it ended up looking- did they like it? And especially, have any pics of it? If not 'you' maybe you have a friend that had one, or you saw one on another Camaro before?
Thanks in advance-

I'm currently looking into this as well man. Did you decide to give it (Duraflex ZL1 V2 Front Fascia) a shot or find anyone who did?

Too 6th gen for me. I don't get why some 5th gen owners want to make their 5th gens look like a 6th gen. Tail lights, head lights and now front bumpers. The 6th gens are now cheap enough on the used car market. If people want that look for their 5th gen, they should just trade up to a 6th gen.

It's similar to the old days when 3rd gen F-body owners were swapping in the (then new) 4th gen instrument panel assembly and console. One of the ugliest parts of the 4th gen IMO and they're swapping it into their 3rd gen. Yep, let's get rid of cool Lear Jet/F16 fighter jet style dashboard for an ugly SUV/minivan type dash. Yuck!

Hello Mike. Do lots of research on Duraflex parts. I've heard a lot of talk about their stuff having fitment issues. In some cases body work had to be done to make panels fit properly.

I’ve never heard anything good about Duraflex. The picture they show is just a photoshop so what you receive will be different and likely disappointing. Also that is for a 14-15 so you would need to swap to 2014-2015 headlights, grill, and probably bumper support.

Duraflex will require lots of sanding to make it fit properly. I've seen this on a 14-15 without any sanding and the gaps are horrible. Also yes as BluePhoenix mentioned, you will have to convert to 14-15 headlights and grill to work.
