An off topic question

Hi all,
I am sure most of use credit card for making purchases. Even I am planning to get one.
By putting large amounts on your credit cards you can amass points that can be redeemed for flights, hotels, or other rewards. Also, paying for your mortgage on your credit card can have huge rewards, but it can also be risky.
I read some information about making payments using your credit card, It is said that it can really work to your advantage if it is done properly. However, not all mortgage brokers allow credit card payments.
Now I am confused whether this is the right option for me. Any advice? What do you all think about this?

If this is your 1st credit card and you don't already have established good credit, your credit limit will probably be less than your payment so it won't work. Also #4 will probably only get you a few pennies a month.

Check closely for fees! Points and miles are good but often you are charged for using a cc.

However there are companies that will let you set up a regular payment without fee because they are assured of being paid that way.

You probably already know but cc interest costs are outrageous and will eat you alive financially. Whatever you buy pay it off every month!!

Just some advice from someone who has reached 60 years of worldly wisdom. I retired this year - not rich but very comfortably.

And this is how people get malware. By clicking on "totally legit" links from posts like this.

A long time ago a friend gave me a piece of advice regarding CC rewards...
Try to stick with a program that rewards you with dollars - either a percentage of what you charge or pay. If they reward you with 'points', they can change what a point is anytime they want. A point can be worth a dollar this year, but next year they could change it to be worth a dime!
