Cracked/chipped electric hob

Hi all, I've just discover a chip, about 2 inches long, on the edge of my cooker. Just wondering if anyone knows how I can fix this.....thanks in advance!

really?! is there no porcelain filler which I can get just to cover it up? It is fine functionally but just an eyesore....

That spot gets hot, if you start patching it with fillers, epoxies or paints, it's gonna at the least stink, and make your food stink, at the worst, poison you.

After all that it's still gonna look patched.

Leave it alone or get a new one... but that's just me.

I see, and if I dont do anything about it, will the crack develop due to heating cycles??

There's one way to find out!

Just remember, there's wiring under there, and liquids boiling over from cooking.....

Are stoves really expensive in UK? Lowes has one for $309. Could likely find a dinged one for less.
