Prepare for the comments about the ZL1 being only 2.8 seconds slower than the GT-R on this track....

Like comparing an apple and an orange. All in all, great showing for the ZL1 against a GTR that is $40K more.

Thanks for posting this. Both are great, but very different cars. Its hard to beat AWD with that much power.

The ZL1 is "more comfortable", "more rewarding", and "less video game-ish". Damnit...I was planning to wait for the 2013's, but all of this is NOT helping.

Another confirmation that the ZL1 is hands down, the more desirable street machine; It suggests, that had it might have had AWD, it might not have been bested by the GTR. And, on a somewhat hotter day, the ZL1 just might accomplish that feat without such additional aids. Comfort? Pleasure to drive? ZL1 seemed like a 10 - 1 favorite. In all, the reviewer seemed to find the most enjoyment provided by the Mighty ZL1!

Was that a 2012 gtr? If so that is impressive. That provides me evidence that the zl1 can out run the 2009 thru 2010 model gtrs

I agree with these statements, they were basically going to be my comment. It would be interesting to see how they compare on a warmer day and if ZL1 had AWD that would really be interesting.

Love the review - just what I was looking for. A car you can drive every day and enjoy and take out on the track or open road course and have a great performer. Looks to me like Chevy got this just about perfect.
