a simple cleaner look is what I am shooting for. And I agree, chrome and white with your color would not mix well. I still have my red ss badge on the rear since it matches the calipers, but that's the only badge on it. The chrome edge may have to be changed though.

Everyone is saying it does look much better with the hood wrap. It looks good both ways IMO. Black hood is more "badass" (can't think of another way to describe it) and more functional for track days (less glare). No black hood gives a cleaner look and is a whole lot easier to keep clean since its my daily driver (already passed 7000 miles). To each his own. Everyone has different opinions and that's what makes a unique car.

No one is disputing that it isn't a 1LE with or without the hood. Still looks better with the vinyl. Lol

I disagree - they look much better without the wraps. I like the 1LE's but the wrap's are ugly (though on white and red cars they look ok).

Replacing the wrap with stripes would be a nice option - accents are good.

And here I disagree. I think it looks much better and is set apart from others with the wrap. Stripes are common, the wrap isn't something you see everyday. I considered replacing with stripes - before I actually got my car.
Yes it can be a little tricky to keep it looking nice, especially if it's kept outside, but I plan on keeping mine on as long as possible. I think it looks great on my RY.

Are you going to stripe it? If you do I'd be very interested to see pics.

It's kind of tough to keep clean, but on a BRM it gives the entire car a sinister look. Not to mention, 50% of the time a rock is going to bounce off the road and on to the hood, and the vinyl is something you can un-wrap and replace for a nominal cost.

I've thought of un-wrapping it and keeping it bare, or painting it matte black, but it just wouldn't have the same look. I suppose the reason why GM did the wrap instead of paint is to satisfy customers both ways. If you don't like it, peel it off.

I guess the only car I ever thought pulled off the 'matte look' was the Chevelle from Faster. It suits the rough and ready, blue-blood feel of some muscle cars. Always thought GTRs looked way out of place with it. And then came matte white...

its just in the first part of the vid

It looks darker than what it is, but I went with 35 percent all the way around.
