Tie down straps
Alright folks,
I just purchased a Tex quick load trailer for my 2015 1LE. I’d like to use basket straps to tie it in to the stake pockets for ease of timing it down. Getting under the car to tie it down won’t work due to how low it sits. Do any of you use basket straps to tie down your car. I do t have much experience toeing cars down and will be trailer with the car the first time for about 600 miles. Any thought or suggestions?. I have to figure this out rather quick because I’m leaving the 8th of April and need to buy the straps for the trip. Thanks I’m advance for your advice |

You can find any strap here...Pricey but well worth it. My car is very low in the front and these will not scratch or mark up your wheels. https://www.macscustomtiedowns.com/
Using basket straps on a low car still requires a low tie angle on the strap. https://zl1addons.com/collections/strap-points Zl1 Add-ons has a really cool hook for the rear straps too. Easy to slide under the car and hook up to these. |

I use the above items Mlee recommended! Well worth the price. Don't skimp. I cross secure both front and back. Because of the size of my Z on the 18' trailer I use two axle straps attached to the trailer front support beams. A bit of a PITA to get to the front ZL1 strap points but if you crank the front wheels a bit you get some room.

Thanks again guys, I ordered the the ZL1 strap points this morning. And while I was there I went ahead and bought the lift pads which I am sure will come in handy in the future for changing tires at the track.

Also, the magnetic one with puck is the best. I have both but the mag-puck will lift both tires at once when placed on the center jack point. |

Ok one last question, which kit of tie down did you both buy. I’m not opposed to spending the money to ensure my baby is secure but do t want to buy the wrong set.
Thanks |
