Trunk Lid not wanting 2 un-latch...

Checked to see if a fuse had gone bad, but the trunk lid on my car will not open when buttons are pressed.

Mine did that once, I went through rear seat and pulled cord in trunk to open and have not had the problem since...

Are you talking about the key fob button or the button on the door panel?

Yeah, I was going to recommend manually pulling the latch. If it doesn't open or is still suck, it's not anything electrical. Just remember that you have to push the latch back into it's orignal position or else the trunk won't close. Ask me how I know.

didn't think of that. does the same method of pushing the latch back in its original place apply to a lid that won't open? -Smacks hand to forehead- "Shoulda had a V8"... I'll give it another shot when break comes along.

Make sure the emergency release isn't partially pulled out. Mine did the same thing after I had moved a bunch around in trunk

so. whaat your saying is. if the emergency release has been, say, nudged or tugged on a little, it will keep the trunk from opening?

had taken the car back over to the shop, crawled in through the back seat, used the emergency latch, and found out there is an adjustable thing-a-ma-bob on the latch. somehow it had been turned off when my lid was getting the stripe painted.

I could not open my trunk yesterday morning either on a convertible 2011 I purchased Monday! I managed to get my computer out from the back seat. Here's the weird part: 2 hours later I went back to check if I had missed something and the trunk opened the first time. After it opened I wiggled with the safety latch to make sure it was in place after reading this thread...
