I went with a Maggie due to being in CA and Gavin to deal with CARB issues, otherwise I would have jumped on this kit.

Yes it can. The biggest "Issue" is what to do with the factory blower. You can technically run a compound set-up utilizing the blower and the turbos but we have done this on GT500's and aren't a fan. Removing the stock blower (Like we do on the ZR1) opens up a nice chunk of money by selling the blower assy that you can put toward the TT Kit but also means we have to source an intake manifold and a few other LS3-based parts to make it all work.

From a power-perspective the advantage of starting with the ZL1 is having a built / low-compression engine stock so we can run quite a bit more boost then on a SS.

The last ZR1 we did made 17psi on the stock blower and a few bolt-on's put down 638rwhp on our DynoJet. Doing nothing but removing the blower and installing our TT Kit (Twin GT3586's) netted 903rwhp at the same boost level.

Very true. Add E85 or Meth to the equation and you can still get there no problem with the 86's.

I don't think anybody would call it "Safe" and we certainly don't endorse running 700+rwhp on a stock engine in anything. That being said, we have had more than a few clients do just that knowing they had a forged build in the works and if in fact something let go they were already ready. We have yet to have one "Let go" based on "Too much" power even in those circumstances. If you push something hard enough you can hurt it at 500rwhp but if tuned well the LS3's have shown to be stout even in the 650rwhp range.

i plan on selling the factory blower... what else would i need for 600-650rwhp besides the kit? this car is my dd so i want to it as close to stock driveability as i can while adding a little more hp. also what happens to the factory valve cover after the blower is removed? can it be reinstalled... it seems like it was made around the blower. if not i would like to have some custom fabbed "twin turbo LSA" valve covers made. any one know where i can get that kinda work done?

Saw recommendation, looks very nice. Looking to build a 427 from a bored out a Gen 4 LY6 block utilizing lethal racings nightfury cam... Lots more details to expand upon and many hours of research remaining.

do the twin 37's produce more heat than a single large turbo? is that a huge factor or? I think as this is my first turbo kit, I'd have the least turbo lag as possible for this build but still big numbers

Dang was going to send my Camaro to IPS late spring / early summer now going to hold off. 2014 Camaro's might be getting the LS7. Going to have to sell my current Camaro and buy the one that comes with the LS7.

Wonder what kind of power the LS7 TT will be putting out with the stock motor and mild to intermediate boost levels. Don't want to push the stock motor too hard.

Less than a stock ls3. Ls7 isn't as strong and you would probably want to stop in the 650-700rwhp range. The ls3 is a better motor for boost.

I was looking at the pricing info on the site, what exactly is the $1300 "Engine Cooler"?
And also, is the 6" intercooler really necessary for 800hp? Seems like that's a little overkill, no?
