The v6 isn't easy to get to sound good. That's not just a Camaro thing, most v6 engines don't have the most appealing sound.

My guess is the route you describe won't sound very good.

With a V6 the only reason I would mess with the exhaust is to reduce weight.

Check out the V6 LLT/LFX Bolt Ons section to get all the information you need. I would recommend MRT. It is very difficult to get a good sound out of a straight piped V6, some have been successful though. It's all personal preference.

Straight pipe usually doesn't turn out the best...it might sound good down low, but will turn out loud and raspy with drone at middle and upper rpms.

But the V6 can certainly sound nice....don't think it can't. Find some good speakers and take some time to check ou the V6 exhaust sticky thread that has been menioned above

have straight pipes on mine. sounds good in the lows. but can get rather loud and raspy when the lead-foot hits the gas. I'm gonna end up adding long tube headers, and some flowmasters one-day-or-another. right now I just enjoy pissing people off with the loudness.

i'm not saying they are the best way to go. but for cost it was, it was reasonable. besides you never really know if you'll like it until you try it.

I tried it for a weekend and hated it. I like how the camera handler ran inside to avoid the neighbors. hahaha

Hey man I just noticed in your sig you got your resonators deleted... I just booked an appointment to have mine removed on Wednesday. How much more sound did you get from doing it? I've had my MRT 1 for all summer now and still looking for a bit more.

EDIT: Our mods are very close so should I be expecting the same sound as you?

Shaun
