RIP Brother Jackson, As a second-gen LEO, It tears me apart having to wear the 'Mourning Badge' (having a black band placed around the badge). I thought I would finally be able to take it off after honoring the fallen from Dallas (it is worn from the Time Of Death until the end of the day after the funeral) and I was preparing to remove it from my uniform Sunday morning after my shift, only to hear on the news that 3 more brothers had fallen from a planned ambush.

To wear the mourning badge for a solid week during Police Memorial Week is a grim reminder of the hazards we face, to wear it for two solid weeks due to planned acts of violence against my brothers is agonizing. My wife is beside herself, especially since the RNC is in Cleveland this week.

All I can ask if for prayers for my brothers (and sisters) and their families during these dark times.

We have been following these happenings up here in Canada and we were truly shocked and saddened by what has been happening lately. I think the world lost a good man and that is unfortunate for all of us.

The Cajun Camaro Club (Lead), H-Town Camaro Club and others will be attending the funeral services and drive in to the viewing and services being performed in Baton Rouge Monday the 25th.

If your club has an interest, there are a few pre-meets along I-10 and I-49 if coming in from the West.

Those of us from Houston are leaving Sunday and stopping in Lake Charles, you may contact Cajun Camaro Club or send me a PM for more information if interested in joining.
