I hate that you have to leave it in the OBDII port because while data logging, etc., I'd have to remove it.

I'd rather it program the HUD to display that stuff.

you could hard wire another aldl connector on the back side of the original aldl and conceal it under the hush panel

I don't think two ODBII devices can read data at the same time. I tried using a splitter with my dashlogic and something else and it wouldn't work. I think the splitters are only good if one device is communicating at a time.

I'm guessing it works because the requests are coming from the same type of device. I might have to do more testing but from what I understand, the protocol can't distinguish between polls from two different types of devices and respond accordingly.

My guess with dashlogic is its causing a data flow congestion issue since the dashlogics receives and sends info vs 2 devices just reading the data

I think his point was he didn't want something hanging out in the open all the time. At my work they can interfere with your foot getting in and out all the time.
