How do you remove and install fog light fixtures in new camaro
Does anyone know how to remove the fog light housing from a 1LT camaro, not an RS version! I have a new set I want to install and I can figure out how to install them. I just don't want to break any mouldings etc.

This is an old thread - Are there any updates? I damaged my fog lamp installing LED lamps. Not terrible but I'm thinking about replacing them some day.

I took the wheel off you might not half to unscrewed the wheel liner enough to reach around the back and used a paint stick to push on the tabs that hold the trim ring around the fog. I would use a flash light to see what your doing. I think the first time I removed them I just physically grabbed and pulled them off from the front of the car,but working from behind is probably safer.

you need to take the front bumper off, it'll give you enough room to work. Then you just cut out the fog light holes, mount them up and run the wiring.

I have the RS so the fogs are in, but I want to remove them to tint them
How the hell do you get these off? I've been out in the driveway for half an hour and haven't made any progress

After it's off, you will see that there are bolts that are holding the foglight into place. There are some videos on youtube as well showing you how the foglights are mounted. If it's just tints you are applying, I don't think you have to take them off if you are careful enough. I did my sidemarkers without taking them off. Good luck. |

I really don't want to remove the bumper because that scares the crap out of me and with my luck I'd break something. I want to remove them because they are round and its hard to get the tint on in there.

They just pry off, lift the fog light outside Rim with a Plastic stick, so as not to damage paint, push in side with the plastic stick and the whole unit should pop out. no need to remove Bumper

On some cars, the bezels come out easily. On other cars, not so much. You need to release the tabs on the back (work through the wheel well). Also, some cars have clips on the rear of the fogs/DRL's, so, you can't just pull them out from the front.
