Lack of Rear Seat Space Over Rated

When we were shopping for cars we test drove the Challenger, Camaro and Mustang with my 12 year old muscle car enthusiast son in the back seat. His feed back on rear seat space:

Camaro: "its alright, its not too bad"
Challenger: "wow, this things like our Suburban back here, its great"
Mustang: "you got to be kidding, there's no way I can sit back here"

I sat in my backseat today, just out of curiosity, I'm 5'10 and my head rubbed the roof. The passenger chair had to be almost all the way forward, so yes small women and children will work, men not so much.

I'm 6'3". The max I'd ever have in my car is 3 people, with the third person probably laying across both leather seats in the back. As far as I'm concerned, my car is a 2-seater with a "double trunk".

I sat in the back seat of ours at the dealer when the sales guy was helping my wife set up the On-Star. I am 5'9" and there is no way I would want to spend any significant amount of time back there. I had a 3rd gen Camaro as well and that back seat was not much bettter. Lucky I did not buy it for the rear seats I have other vehicles to use if I need to take backseat passengers places.

I took the back seats out of my car and built my own rear seat delete.

Just wait 'till ya' need to weld in a roll cage. Mine doesn't have a seat to sit upon; the back portion is a custom made aluminum panel, so to speak. It looks hella great, and it obviates the subject of more than one passenger (driver not included). No extras, period.

Nobody ever or will ever ride in the back seat of my Camaro, maybe till CFest III, might have to chauffer some drunks around.

I traded an 08 Mustang Bullitt for my Camaro and honestly, it would be hard to tell the difference between the two back seats. I've ridden in the back of my Camaro several times and although it wouldn't work for a long, long trip, I was ok back there for several hours. Hey, my last car before the Mustang was a Vette and, that it didn't seat but two, didn't bother me a bit.

I knew that I would make due..because I wanted this car.

LOL, there is no rear leg room behind my seat. I have mine all the way back. But I will be honest, in MOST cars there is not a ton of leg room behind whatever seat I am in. But I have no kids now, so I don't even need the rear seat. If we want more people in a car, we take my wife's car or a friend's car.

I had 2 Females in the back seat on 2 trips from San Diego to Vegas, and i got no complains.
Also, why would you have any dudes in youre back seat?? those seats where specifically design to carry girls around. and maybe Kids when youre married like me.
