Lemmee see here... ... drive a '10 V - CHECK! ... 62 years old - CHECK! ... a gnawing at my soul for a ZL1... CHECK! (Let's just say that I feel a real "connection" with this car ) Only difference may be that fortunately, for various reasons, I don't feel that prioritizing/projecting a specific image is necessary for me... my attitude for the last 15 years has always been, "F**k 'em if they can't take a joke"... when I, (as an ol' fart) show up in a Camaro. This is my car and I drive it 'cuz it's me and it's who I am. I'm proud of it, and I love it! If somebody has a problem with that, then that's just it - it's their problem. Now all that being said, I think it might be time for me to start looking for a new car... after all, her '99 STS (we like to keep cars for a long while) is probably approaching the end of its road (for us anyway). Just gotta figure out how to convince her that she needs a new ZL1! (but it would have to be an A6 ) Best regards, Elie

Interior, hands-down the CTS-V. Exterior, hands-down the ZL1. I have never liked the CTS styling, at all! No denying the impressive performance of both cars, however.

Thanks all! I went with the v as the ZL1 was questionable for Canada delivery this year for me and I like to strike when the iron is hot. Yes, the hint is no GF on the side, to quote Johnny Paycheck, she'd get the gold mine and I would get the shaft...Now if I could convince her to trade her ss convert for a ZL1 convert, the circle of life would be complete!

As much as I like the zl1, we need a more family-orientated vehicle. The wife wants the V wagon, I want the 4-door. Whatever we settle on, the interior is amazing. I like my SS, and we are keeping it, but it holds nothing on the caddy in terms of creature comfort. Long trips in it are ok, but after driving a friends V last year, I could not believe the difference. Plus, I like Cadillac's white way better. We are selling the Acura with the nice pearl white paint, so we need another pearl car.

I had the same dillema when I was looking for a car. I test drove the CTS-V and the SS. I loved them both but I just happened to feel more at home in the Camaro. I was going to order a ZL1 but I couldn't wait.

If I did CTS-V - it would be the wagon - only V I would consider.
Otherwise, I would love to have both!
