You should put a poll on this thread. And I want..... Both!
Haha no but I am not a track king so I would probably say camed v8 because of the sound but if I went to the track more often I would definately go for TTv6

Can't beat the sound of a V8, let alone one that is cammed. Cammed V8 hands down, not even a choice for me.

I guess it depends on the situation. Last time I was at the track everyone was huddled around my car and not the cammed SS sitting right beside it. A lot of people like the sound of turbos.

I do like the sound of a turbo as it spools. Sounds so unique to me. As a v8 owner I would just bypass this discussion and get turbos with a cam.

I think a more fun thread topic would be:
"V6 that sounds like a V8, or V8 that sounds like a V6" Now that could be interesting

I went V8. I understand the power you get out of turbos now. They used to be expensive, under powered, bad lag. Not anymore, so it's really a preference for the individual anymore. Of course, "back then" everyone complained about the price of superchargers and the "power drain" and therefore not that big a net gain. But the whole game has changed.

I wouldn't go through the cost of doing a twin turbo on a v6. If I wanted more power I'd put that same amount down on a v8 and then modify the v8.
