OEM ZL1 wheel finish

Can someone tell me what the wheel finish is on the black OEM wheels. Is it Gloss black or Satin black?

Hah. Sheens are not that simple. It's far closer to satin than gloss, or even semi-gloss, but really, none of the aforementioned. But that's for a Gen 5. If you have a Gen 6, you will be better off posting in that forum.

No sorry I’m talking about 5th. Looking at a 5th ZL1 but doesn’t have the wheels I like and I see them for sale in Gloss and satin and I am just wondering which is closer to the OEM wheels?

Between gloss and satin it would for sure would be satin as the closer one of the two.

Agree - I have both aftermarket ZL1 reps in satin and in gloss, and the satin is closer to OEM. My 18x11s are gloss, not satin like my regular combination, and you can just barely tell when you look at the whole car.

The factory "black" 10 spoke wheels are def more of a satin finish.

The factory polished aluminum 5 spoke wheels are often painted/powder coated gloss black by owners, so it can get confusing.
