NW 102mm throttle body

This just arrived. I didn't make it to the track this season sadly, trying to save pennies and just haven't been able to mod. I'm slowly gathering more parts and eventually I will make it over to GPI for a new tune.

The drive home entailed getting followed by a trooper, and when I pulled over into a parking lot, he got out and smiled and said, I'm not pulling you over, I just wanted a closer look at this thing! He then asked if he could get a video of it idling! After a chat, I headed back home, feeling great!

Stay tuned for Chapter 3, the wheel debacle, the suspension upgrades, and getting this thing to the track. I am going to start including more videos, both street and strip, as there was only one thing left to do: test this thing at the drag strip!
Staying tuned... love the comment about the trooper... I’ve had a couple similar run-ins...

Ok, so today I ordered the rest of the parts I am going to use in this next go-round of mods, and am super excited! Coming in:

Prothane poly trans mount
PAC 1222X .700 valve springs
BMR delrin UCA bushing and bracket
Collector Tethers shank lugs
Replacement Mickey Thompson 28" bias ply
NGK TR6IX plugs
Some 3 bolt flanges so I can weld those onto the headers and my 2' long dumps too and get away from band clamps

Then on the bench, I have a NW 102mm TB and some BMR solid aluminum motor mounts. Gettin excited!!! Should be some nice NVH with this setup, kinda feel like I should have went with delrin diff bushings, but decided against it knowing that I am eventually looking for a ZL1 diff.

Bet you get in the 10's soon.
I know you said GPI recommended them but are you going with .700 springs because you rev a little higher with that LOD or another reason, maybe both?

Hey Jeff! I am definitely gunning for 10s on stock heads and am going with the .700 springs because I talked with Aaron and James at GPI, and they recommended those springs for my combo.

And yeah the higher redline definitely impacted the decision. Plus I hear nothing but good things about PAC springs

Just ordered a ZL1 fuel pump, LSA injectors, and a DSX flex fuel kit. I am not expecting much of a gain from the corn, at 11:1 and still NA, but finally feel like I am stepping in the right direction as far as fuel goes, getting it ready for boost

Hey Chris, curious why'd you go that route with FI in your future? I run that now on E85(65%) and didn't think it would be enough with a supercharger.

It was a bit of an impulse, and has more to do with hitting 10s on stock heads. I know its not enough to support my end goals but I am getting anxious. I have mod fever and track withdrawals bad right now. I feel with the DSX aux pump I might get close, but in the end, watch, I am gonna have to re-do the injectors and the pump. Also, the centri is going in last and that won't be for a while. TH400 and ZL1 diff and other driveline stuff has to come first, so I will be an NA car for a hot minute.

Totally get it especially since you didn't get to run much last year. Car is a total beast now can't wait to see it all come together!

Thanks Jeff! I need to figure out what I am going to do about fitting the intake tube to the NW 102mm. Its being stubborn. I planned on keeping the Z-28 intake up to the point when I have the Procharger put in..
