Taking the car to the track this weekend
Taking the car to the track this weekend. I'm guessing with my DA it will run mid to high14's at best. This will be the first time at the track for the car. She's going just like she was born...bone stock. Should be fun to watch the progress as time passes by.

Well, the wife made a few passes today and learned a few things.
1. Put the auto in Sport mode and just let it shift. 2. Don't forget to turn off traction control Made 3 total Pases best time was 14.73 @ 99.54mph with a 2.34 60' Seems like the car comes alive once it gets up in RPM's but a little doggy out of the hole. All in all it was a good day and got to meet a local member from here. |

Looks like she had fun, is that a L99 car? mph seems kind of low, even with a bad launch she should have managed about 103 or so.

WOW 7000 DA?? what is the elevation out there! lol maybe next time you go, try "stalling" the car up...both gas and brake to get the RPM's up a lil for a better hole shot. should cut your 60' down a lil and possibly improve your trap speed. good luck!

I calculated your run based on the DA for that track in Wy. for Saturday at 3pm (just for fun). The DA was 7000+ft based on the tracks 4700 ft elevation (Douglas Motorsports Park?) and weather conditions. http://www.dragtimes.com/da-density-...calculator.php Your (altitude corrected) run was 13.2 @ 109 mph. |

Thanks bud. Not too shabby for a completely stock car IMO Next time we go to the track we will have a few mods; LT Headers and exhaust and see what that puts down. |

Hey Todd, we have a weather station in our trailer if you need altitudes just stop over. The Saturday you made your run the elevations were between 7800 to 8100.
