Info on 50 state Fsl series comp cam l99

Hey everyone,
I'm fairly new to being a member so this is my first post.
I have been doing some research but haven't found many answers on what I'm looking for on here.
Being in CA, I can barely do any significant mods.
However I did find a cam that is 50 state legal.
I'm wondering if anyone has this cam installed and if so what kind of feed back do you have on it.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.hot...comp-cams/amp/

Thank you anyone for any kind of help

I have other simple bolt ons
-K&n replacement performance filter
-Flowmaster American thunder cat back
-Diablo sport 91 octane base tune.

Don't know where to find a guy to hook me up. I guess I just gotta look around if that's the case.
And If i do that i gotta look for a good cam. I dont know much about them and what else needs to be replaced along with it

The amount of money you’ll pay to install this really isn’t worth the gains imo

Ok, I kinda figured it'd be restrictive and wouldn't provide good gains because it is able to pass.

Can anyone provide info on a good cam for the l99. I know I can do an ls3 conversion which would provide more choices but I've also heard theres good vvt cams out there that give good power gains without having to spend the extra money for the conversion

Keeping vvt is the way to go but you’ll still need to spend the money to get rid of dod/afm and all the supporting parts. Our l99s are not cheap to do a cam. If you do a smaller afm cam it’s cheaper but why half ass it?

I’m speaking from a point of view where I don’t have to worry about emissions though

What you need to do is get in touch with a tuner since this WILL be needed with any cam swap...I have used dynoSteve at RDP for 3 years now https://www.rdpstore.com....could not be happier. good luck!

peace
